The role is full time and suitable for an experienced, qualified teacher with compassion and drive. Experience of alternative provision and outreach work is desirable; a passion for reading is essential.
Nottingham HOPE is a four-site school based in Nottingham, which caters for pupils and young people with a range of medical, emotional or mental health needs. Each site works with a unique cohort of young people with differing experiences and needs. Our sites are located at The Children’s Hospital School, The Lookout Education Centre, Primary Pathways, and Secondary Pathways & NEST. Due to the nature of our Secondary Pathways provision, many pupils remain dual registered with their own school whilst they are with us.

We are dedicated to developing every pupil to reach their full potential and every practitioner to be their best. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional with an interest in inclusion, not only within education but also within society in preparation for adult life.
You will be responsible for ensuring high quality teaching of English and Literacy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4 for our learners in Secondary Pathways and, potentially, across our school. You will role-model and support quality first inclusive teaching and good practice. Working closely with young people, their parents/carers, local agencies and other professionals, you will be passionate about fostering a love of learning and forming positive, inspiring relationships. You’ll be expected to be proficient in adaptive teaching strategies and up to date with SEN best practice in teaching and assessing students. You will be an excellent team player.
The role is full time, 5 days a week.
