Position: Teaching Assistant (Bank)

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Location: Academies across South Yorkshire

Contract type: Bank staff

Nexus Multi Academy Trust have exciting opportunities available for bank teaching assistants to join our central team covering assignments within our 16 academy schools from September 2023!

We have a range of supply assignments available in some of the best special schools and primary schools across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, from Nursery age children to young adults in Further Education.

Our Opportunity

We are looking for confident, adaptable and enthusiastic candidates with a passion for working with children and an interest in the education sector.

Perhaps you are a future aspiring teacher, a student or graduate or looking to enter the education sector? Or you may be an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to work flexibly and have the opportunity to manage your own diary and work across multiple locations to challenge and develop your practice.

We have opportunities for day to day, part time and full-time assignments which can lead to long-term and permanent placements.

Requirements for the role include:

Having a passion for working with children with special educational needs
Working with resilience, patience, creativity and empathy
Relevant experience supporting children will be taken into consideration
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal, but not essential

Your responsibilities as a bank teaching assistant will include supporting teaching and learning activities in the classroom and around school under the leadership of a qualified teacher. You may be required to support pupils in a one to one sessions or in a small group, or supervise lunch / break duties.
