We are excited to be recruiting to a new post of Trust Mathematics Consultant, to work to our Assistant CEO – Quality Assurance & Improvement on the delivery of the Trust’s Collaborative School Improvement Framework with a specific focus on Mathematics and STEM.
We are seeking a candidate with a track record of exercising their expertise in the implementation of declarative, procedural and conditional mathematical knowledge to evidentially improve outcomes for children and young people. Given the wide range of settings across our Trust, the successful applicant will need to have the flexibility to work across different curriculum models and frameworks, with a clear focus on effective quality assurance.
The vision for Nexus MAT is that we are “Learning together, to be the best we can be”, and the leadership style of the successful candidate will be a key determining factor in the selection process. We want someone who understands the importance of servant leadership and who consistently applies appreciative enquiry methodology.
The post will be paid on School Teacher Pay and Conditions Document Leadership Points L2 – L6. Whilst the post is 3 days per week, Nexus MAT is a flexible employer and we are therefore open to agreement on what working pattern is applied. The post holder is required to work 52 weeks, with annual leave and flexible leave being available to take during the school holidays.
The post is available as a split role (i.e. with the successful candidate working 2 days in their current school and 3 days in this role), subject to this being agreeable with the school Headteacher. However, the post is also available as a standalone part time role. Secondment will be considered if this is supported by the school Headteacher.
For an informal conversation about the vacancy, please contact Jacky Tattershall, Nexus MAT Assistant Chief Executive Officer at JTattershall@NexusMat.org to arrange a phone call.
To apply please complete an application form and submit to Maria Simpson - MSimpson@nexusmat.org.
This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check
