We are a growing, forward thinking and innovative Trust with a shared ethos, vision and values for a personalised child centred approach. We are committed and invested in “Learning together, to be the best we can be” and it is as relatable to every employee and partner of our Trust as it is to our children, young adults and their families.

Our Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting to a new post of English Consultant, to work to our Assistant CEO – School Improvement on the delivery of the Trust’s Collaborative School Improvement Framework with a specific focus on communication, oracy, phonics, reading and writing.
We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of applying their expertise in English—particularly the teaching of reading and writing—to demonstrably improve outcomes for children and young people. Given the wide range of specialist settings across our Trust, the successful applicant will need the flexibility to work with multiple approaches and pedagogical models, each selected by school leaders to best meet the needs of their school communities
The vision for Nexus MAT is that we are “Learning together, to be the best we can be”, and the leadership style of the successful candidate will be a key determining factor in the selection process. We want someone who understands the importance of servant leadership and who consistently applies appreciative enquiry methodology.
The post will be paid on School Teacher Pay and Conditions Document Leadership Points L2 – L6. Whilst the post is 4 days per week, Nexus MAT is a flexible employer and we are therefore open to agreement on what working pattern is applied.
