Discovery Academy is a brand-new school for children and young people with SEND located on the Norfolk Park Estate in Sheffield. The Academy is run by the award-winning Nexus Multi Academy Trust.
We believe that inspiring young people with their learning is about giving them a sense of belief that they will achieve their potential. Our Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a highly professional and efficient Head of School.
You will need to demonstrate that you:
- DFE recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree (or equivalent), other professional qualifications (e.g. NPQH).
- Good knowledge of current thinking and practice in education.
- Capacity to influence people and lead change.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of curriculum development and innovation.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Evidence of strong person-centered vision and values.
- Have working knowledge of SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years
- Can remain calm under pressure
- Are committed to supporting the aims of the academy
