Join the Nexus team as a Deputy Headteacher - Pennine View School
Closing date: Sunday 18 April 2021 (midnight)
Interview dates: Thursday 29 April & Friday 30 April 2021
We are really excited to be adding more capacity to our Senior Leadership Team for September 2021 with the creation of a second Deputy Headteacher post. In 2020 we achieved a stepped improvement in our Ofsted grade, and we are now firmly focused on moving our school to ‘Good’ and beyond.
At this exciting time for the school, we want to appoint a talented, tenacious, aspirational and experienced senior leader to compliment the work of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, leadership team, local governors and the wider Trust in leading the school to achieve the next level of excellence.
Pennine View School is an academy school within Nexus Multi Academy Trust.
Pennine View School is a highly successful and passionately child-centred special school for children and young people with moderate learning difficulties and associated Special Educational Needs. Pennine View School serves 120 amazing children and young people from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4 who are very well-supported by a highly dedicated and hard-working team of professionals. Pennine View has exceptionally strong partnerships with other schools within Nexus Multi Academy Trust and across Doncaster.
At Pennine View School, we believe in holistic support for children and families, with a focus on all aspects of a child’s life: their education, their health, and their social needs; we are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who not only shares our values, but who actively pursues their delivery.
Applications are welcome from candidates in primary or secondary mainstream schools who can demonstrate knowledge of SEND, or from candidates currently working in a special school setting.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit Pennine View to see the school at work. To arrange a visit please contact Phil Knight, Officer Manager, on 01709 864978 or email PKnight@Nexusmat.org
For an informal conversation about the vacancy, please contact Sarah Mulhall, Headteacher on 01709 864978 or email smulhall@nexusmat.org
