Refurbishments at Enterprise Works

Transforming Spaces, Empowering Futures: A New Chapter at Enterprise Works

At Nexus Multi Academy Trust, everything we do is rooted in our commitment to our pupils. That’s why we’re thrilled to share the completion of a major refurbishment at our Central Trust Office, Enterprise Works which is home to some of our post-16 students, marking a significant step forward in creating inclusive, functional and inspiring spaces for learning and development. Since moving into the building in 2023, we recognised the potential in areas that were underutilised and in need of improvement. With vision, investment and an understanding of our pupils’ needs, we’ve transformed the ground floor into a vibrant hub of opportunity.

What Has Been Developed

The newly refurbished ground floor now includes:

· A brand-new state-of-the-art food technology room, designed to support practical learning and life skills

· A purpose-built construction room, offering hands-on opportunities for vocational development

· Modern pupils' toilets and a changing room area, ensuring comfort and accessibility

These spaces reflect our values and our belief in creating environments where pupils can thrive.

Acknowledging the Team Behind the Transformation

Huge thanks to Kerry Veall and Lynsey Smith for leading the refurbishment at Enterprise Works. Their dedication has helped create a high-quality space that supports pupil development. We’re also grateful to our delivery partners: Rider Levett Bucknall, led by Husain Ahmad, for project management from concept to completion, and Redbrick for their excellent construction work. Both are trusted partners who share our values and vision.

Looking Ahead

This refurbishment marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide inclusive and purposeful learning environments. We are proud of what has been achieved and excited for the opportunities these new spaces will offer our post-16 students.

BUT! we’re not stopping here. Coming soon to Enterprise Works - our brand new Esports facilities and Enterprise Café and Kitchen, further expanding the opportunities available to our students and creating even more ways to learn and grow.
